“外研社·國才杯”全國大學生英語辯論賽是國內創辦最早、規模最大、水平最高、影響最廣的全國性英語辯論賽事。為進一步豐富學生的課余生活，提高學生的英語應用能力，選拔出綜合素質優秀的學生代表學校參加比賽，特在全校范圍內組織第26屆“外研社·國才杯”英語辯論賽校園選拔賽。
一、參賽對象
英語專業類：外語學院英語類專業本科生；
非英語專業類：通過大學英語四級的本科生；校英語演講比賽的獲獎選手。
二、組隊方式
每隊隊員為2人（分別為一辯和二辯）。
三、報名方式：
各參賽隊于3月10日（周一）15：00前報名。
報名同學請加入比賽QQ群：869026158 （2025“外研社杯”英語辯論賽），并填寫群公告中的報名信息登記表。
四、選拔時間與地點
時間：2025年3月13日下午（周四，暫定）
地點：待定 (QQ群通知)
五、比賽流程
本次辯論賽將參照“外研社”全國英語辯論賽的要求，采用英國議會制辯論形式。每輪次比賽由四組隊伍（共八名辯手）參加，分別為Opening Proposition，Opening Opposition，Closing Proposition，Closing Opposition.
具體辯論賽流程為：
1. Opening Proposition Team, the 1st speaker
"Prime Minister" 4 minutes
2. Opening Opposition Team, the 2nd speaker
"Leader of the Opposition" 4 minutes
3. Opening Proposition Team, the 3rd speaker
"Deputy Prime Minister" 4 minutes
4. Opening Opposition Team, the 4th speaker
"Deputy Leader of the Opposition" 4 minutes
5. Closing Proposition Team, the 5th speaker
"Member of the Proposition" 4 minutes
6. Closing Opposition Team, the 6th speaker
"Member of the Opposition" 4 minutes
7. Closing Proposition Team, the 7th speaker
"Proposition Whip" 4 minutes
8. Closing Opposition Team, the 8th speaker
"Opposition Whip" 4 minutes
六、 評選方式
選拔賽評委為外語學院教師，評選結果由評委打分產生。表現最佳的兩位辯手將代表我校參加華南地區的辯論賽。評分標準如下：

Excellent to flawless. The standard of speech you would expect to see from a speaker at the Grand Final level of the tournament. This speaker has many strengths and few, if any, weaknesses. |
80-89 |
Above average to very good. The standard you would expect to see from a speaker at the semi-finals level or in contention to make to the finals. This speaker has clear strengths and some minor weaknesses. |
70-79 |
Average. The speaker has strengths and weaknesses and roughly equal proportions. |
60-69 |
Poor to below average. The team has clear problems and some minor strength. |
50-59
|
Very poor. This speaker has fundamental weaknesses and few, if any, strengths. |
七、辯題
辯題于比賽現場提前30分鐘抽取。
注：若報名隊伍較多，則會增加初賽。初賽的考察形式可能與正式比賽有所區別，主要考察辯手的英語口語表達能力。
八、決賽獎勵辦法
校園選拔賽將產生：冠軍隊1支、亞軍隊1支、季軍隊2支、優勝獎3支、最佳辯手2名。表現最佳的兩位辯手將代表我校參加華南地區的辯論賽。
